LG 22LG30 22 Inch 720p LCD HDTV >> Very Good Starter TV and for Small Spaces Overall this TV is excellent for what I want of it I m not sure what others had in mind when they purchase it but for my needs this TV is absolutely perfect doing double duty as my computer monitor and small bedroom television It s actually 22 widescreen and high definition with brilliant color nice design compact size hidden speakers which somewhat reduces audio quality but adds to visual appeal and at least one hook up for any kind of device you need As a monitor it takes my computer to a whole new level and as a HD television for my Xbox using a VGA cable the images are overwhelming at times For the price this TV is an excellent purchase and a great compact television
However the one I bought had a single burned out pixel which I was too lazy to take back and replace with another TV not that noticeable unless you re watching something that s really dark and are sitting a foot away from the screen plus the TV has no tilt or turn ability Instead it just comes with a simple small rigid stand that locks into the bottom of the TV however once again for my purposes this really doesn t impact me too much Also audio quality is not great when using the TV s speakers but since I mostly use the TV as a monitor that once again is not a big deal The only other thing I m not thrilled about is the widescreen images seem to not be exactly widescreen they seem a little short actually causing circles to appear more as vertically stretched ovals even when the TV and appropriate devices have been set to display in widescreen However the distortion is very slight and only noticeable if you pay attention
Overall for the price this is a great desktop or small bedroom TV At 22 being high definition a television and sylish with all hook ups on the back this will be more than worth the value as a computer monitor and TV especially for those on a budget >> Compact size controls on top but lip synch problems Good picture compact size the frame is narrow so takes less space has PC input that works fine menus pretty nicely done but has serious lip synching problems doesn t fit picture to screen all that well and yes it is 16 10 so images are slightly tall Sound has weak frequency range and does sound tinny however I used headphone jack to feed stereo audio output to my receiver and that feed sounds fine As I write this I m thinking there has to be better model out there sharp and Toshiba 22 inch displays were not yet available when I purchased this one only other option was a Vizio which I tried but dark backgrounds had lots of noise >> Great value for the price Easy to setup and easy to watch the 22LG30 is an excellent buy for the price
After purchasing this unit and receiving it I had it wall mounted and setup in almost no time
The color and picture requires some tweaking I had it set to warm from the default cool setting and also increased brightness a bit and the audio as others have commented is weaker than what you d hope to get I improved the audio by increasing treble and bass to 100 and setting the sound option to music from the default One thing I could not adjust as well was the black which was not quite as black as I would like but better than what I expected from an entry level priced LCD TV

LG 42LH55 42 Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV Gloss Black >> Nice TV I am not a person who watches TV but when my old one went I got this LG it looks amazing compared to anything I have seen in a TV Especially with High Definition DVD s I m sure BluRay which I am soon getting The picture looked like a 3D picture that had alot of depth to the picture The blacks are true black the characters in the TV show move quite lucidly I have to say I have never seen anything like this before it s very different than any TV You can zoom to different aspect ratios make it bigger but it does lose quality when you zoom I haven t used my computer over the TV yet but will play some movies from my hard drive when I get a wireless cable/USB The TV is really pretty even when it s turned off it has a clear lucite frame on the outside edges of the black bezel that frames the TV There is no glare at all on the picture even with the lamp on or the sun shining through the blinds The only thing I noticed is when the actor speaks you can sometimes see pixels in the mouth but it s not really a deal breaker as I said before it looks amazing to me HD shows like Smallville dvd really pop out with the colors the way it was filmed enhanced etc Yes this looks awesome but if I had the money I would have bought a newer TV as I m sure the newest ones look even better All in all I think this was an excellent choice that I am still happy about >> Great LCD HD TV Spectacular picture that autoadjusts to the ambient light in the room Great sound that autoadjusts down when loud commercials come on Lots of inputs and lots of adjustments if you are into tweaking everything Had just one problem with the set when I first got it The sound was out of lipsynch on some channels However LG sent a tech out to my house to install a software upgrade that eliminated the problem That was impressive This is also a very good looking set even when it is not on Also when the set was delivered from Amazon the delivery men unpacked the TV attached it to its swivel stand and set it in place for me They connected it and turned it on to make sure that it was working properly All that at no extra charge I highly recommend this TV >> LG 42 flat screen TV This is a great TV and the Amazon price was unbeatable We are absolutely satisfied

LG 37LH20 37 Inch 720p LCD HDTV Gloss Black >> So happy with this tv This is my first experience with HDtv and I can t be happier I researched all kinds of tv s in my price range I finally settled on the LG because of all the positive reviews and that it was available at an affordable price at an outlet other than Amazon they offered a payment plan as well which was exactly what I needed
The tv itself is sleek was easy to set up and once I had it connected to my cable box we were instantly ready to go Make sure you buy an HDMI cable though even things broadcast in standard definition are so much prettier than on a regular analog set
I know that there are more expensive higher resolution sets out there but if you re looking for something for a smaller room or are truly on a budget you will get everything you need from the LG I promise >> Limited use but very impressed First some LG issues I added a year on to the warranty as they offered an additional year for 25 Very good deal for product value of over 500 hopefully never needed LG will petition you to review their product and then inform you 1 it has been discontinued and 2 they want you to sign into their website But enough of that to the set itself I do wish the manual was easier to use via CD a mini printed sheet 4 5 sheets of How to mark your favorite stations etc would of been more helpful After some cable booster issues I think the set itself is glorious great picture even cable/non HD channels look great And Off the air HD channels of Spanish or Cable delievered HD channels are very impressive Presently I have three new sets a LG 22LH20 incher in the bedroom a new 26 Panasonic Viera set and this LG 37 incher The Panasonic is very clear sharp and impresisve also and the LG 22 incher no doubt suffers in comparison due it s samller size Panasonic is one great brand but I got this one from Amazon at a greatly reduced price at their regualr discount they are still very expensive Well I think the large 37 inch LG beats the Panasonic again size carries a lot of weight here but the pitcure is clear bright and delievers the wow of HDTV Now I am a cable subscriber and only get those HD channels they have to give you because their local stations but as I said the Off the Air spanish stations San Diego area in HD are great and beautiful I do like the Q menu where one button allow you to scroll through all your choices of audio picture format etc ps if your adding your base to the set with screws I recommend sliding a little tape to the screwdriver s end screw being mini held by the tape it will allow you to deliever that screw to rheir holes Tape comes back with screwdriver When I bought my LG 37 incher it was from Adorama via Amazon and I had to wait a while but the set s performance is very nice If Samsung/Panasonic is too expensive for you go the LG route and not the Vizio way The are Quality sets

LG 26LD350 26 Inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV >> Great LCD for the money I reviewed LCD 26 and 32in TVs for weeks looking at specs and design and I finally decided on the LG350 for our master bedroom So far I m very pleased with my selection It came down to the Samsung 26 C450 and this one For the money and options the LG was a better pick for sure I must say the sound is by far best on this TV than any other LCD I looked at The TV turns on quickly 2 3sec some delay much longer The blacks are black and the colors look great even on standard def channels Some LCDs look horrible on SD channels but not this one Very pleased with the menu setup and the remote control The only thing I ll say I don t care for is the picture wizard setup It s almost easier to just use the standard pre set picture settings and make only minor adjustments to fit your room The stand swivels smoothly which the Sony and Samsung don t I also like that it s not a glossy screen with lots of reflections I see very little blur when viewing fast moving options You see it but not like some other 60Hz TVs So if you are looking for a great LCD for under 380 00 I highly recommend this model Oh and don t let anyone tell you any different If you are looking at 32 and below 720p is just as good as any 1080p model in this size range
only way this TV could be anymore perfect is for it to have a built in Blue ray or DVD player

LG 47LH30 47 Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Gloss Black >> My first HDTV This is the first HDTV I have ever purchased It certainly won t be the last I thought I would have to buy a new stereo system to go with it but the speakers are incredible The picture is awesome as well Shipped quickly and was easy to set up The only complaint I have is that it doesn t agree with some of the settings on my cable box Think it s more the fault of the cable box and I still get all of my HD channels on the settings that do work >> Bait and switch When they first made this TV and when every profession review of this TV was made it was an awesome TV Then without telling anyone LG switched panels from their own LG made high quality IPS panel to a AUO non IPS middle of the road panel It was still a good TV but not close to the earlier ones Then right before I bought this TV LG switched out the panels again to a very low quality bottom of the barrel Chi Mei panel Bad colors bad blacks smearing ghosting and bad response time The original panel had bad blacks as well but excellent colors and one of the lowest response times for a TV with no smearing or ghosting
Don t buy this TV expecting a high quality TV like the profession reviews say Only buy this expecting cheap low quality TV The only way to tell what panel you have is to shine a flashlight through the back grills of the TV and look for a sticker that says LG AUO or Chi Mei
I can t comment on the sound quality as I ve only had it hooked up to my PC so far and I used my PC speakers >> For the price it can t be beat period I consider myself an information hound I am the type of person who researches model numbers and such before buying just about anything The first thing that caught my eye about this LG LCD was admittedly the price 750 for a 47inch lcd are you for real Then I was concerned that this was an older model with less features or substandard specs for this price However after reading several reviews and debating the pros and cons we decided to go ahead with the purchase and I will say am very pleasantly surprised with the product
First off I will say that Amazons shipping service was very quick and timely The shipper gave us a contact number and communicated very well during shipping The tv was delivered on time as promised and in superb condition with nare a scratch on the box
The tv itself is a snap to set up slide it out the box put the base stand in it tighten 4 screws and behold you are done 3 hdmi inputs were perfect for my cable dvd and Wii and other connections are available as well One thing i will say if you are hooking this tv up to a home theater system PLEASE make sure to purchase an optical audio cable there are NO AUDIO OUT jacks on this tv I bought one also here on Amazon for about 5 bucks and it sounds AMAZING with our Kenwood HT system Otherwise you d have to connect your audio through your dvd player and wont be able to watch regular tv in surround sound
The television itself has many many options with regard to adjusting the picture and I suggest taking the time to do so I spent maybe 30 minutes doing this and the time was well worth it My dvds look flawless my HD cable channels are clean and my nintendo wii is a heck of a draw with that big beautiful 47 inch screen
The set does seem to attract dust rather easily and does come with a cloth for cleaning The stand seems a bit wobbly and my wife was concerned with our little ones running back and forth in front the tv but so far everything seems to be just fine
To sum it up this is a great great deal for the price No you are not getting top of the line electronics or materials but LG has built a reputation on making good looking and well sounding televisions and this one is no exception Well worth the money and a beautiful product that me and my family are enjoying to the absolute fullest

I purchased this set from somewhere else Dad has a retiree discount so I got it cheaper but otherwise would had no problem buying from here
I only had the set for a few days but I really like it so far I m doing a break in period for the set not really necessary but helps age the phosphor evenly so the settings are a little low right now but still fantastic I watched two BD movies so far The Hurt Locker StarTrek and they were awesome to watch Colors were vivid and the detail kept my eyes popping out lol I don t know if I ever could be happy going back to DVDs again lol
Note on plasma Tvs Burn In has not been an issue with plasma TVs for quite a few years but you may still get some Image Retention I have seen very little IR on this set and what did show up quickly went away I wouldn t even consider it an issue
I know Samsung has been having problems with loud buzzing sound coming from their plasma TVs and a few heard it from other manufacturers as well including LG but I cannot hear any buzz coming from mine I even held my head up to the TV and the only hum I heard was the mini frig in the room
The screen is very uniform in lighting Probably my only wish would be for darker blacks My set is not calibrated yet so I know it will go darker than it is now It s not bad mind you but you can tell where the black bars end from a movie and the black bezel begins which would disappear with the darkness of the room
For the Gamers As far as I can tell there is very little lag or none at all I tried a couple games ie GTAIV Crackdown and got into a Semi truck What I would do was pull the right trigger as fast as I could to go into reverse which causes the back ups lights to come on with the beeping sound Even closing my eyes I would hear the click from the trigger at the same time as the reverse beep The controls even felt the same coming from a computer TN Panel monitor
Just to point out this TV does have a glossy screen My complaint with the Sammy was they stated it eliminated reflections but it was mirror like The reflections are not as bad on this set and at least I knew about it ahead of time
So overall I am real happy right now with this set
Join us on AVSForum for more info Encrypted Neuron >> LGpk550 Gorgeous TV Well I got my pk550 on tuesday So far i m in love Watching blu rays on my ps3 is a new experience I want to go through all my movies and watch them again The panel is just sexy For my ps3 for blu rays I use cinema mode obviously recalibrated and the picture is so smooth and crisp My brother noticed right away how smooth and real the movement was For my xbox 360 im using Game Mode recalibrated as well I ve been playing mass effect 2 and it s way more vibrant and rich I have no issue with IR or burn in As long as you set your tv to Orbiter and do a color wash every so often it cleans away any IR in a matter of seconds I was very nervous as this was my first plasma and i read about burn ins and IR But after only 3 days and doing research I feel more confident in the tv and plasmas in general I just do the color wash mode sometimes when im gone to break in it/speed the break in process up If im playing a game that has a HUD on for a while ill pause the game and do a quick color wash for about 10 seconds and set it back to orbiter and keep playing Now this may sound annoying but honestly it s not You get used to it and get real quick at using the tv
Also the pk550 has a load of calibration options I love that Anyway it s a great tv def best bang for you buck for a 50 1080p plasma This is my first plasma and it s an LG I have much more faith in plasmas now Especially lg Pick this set up >> 2nd plasma I won t bore you with the specs or feature sets of this t v or what I have my setting at If you are looking at purchasing a new t v and are on a budget then this is the t v for you However for 200 bucks more you could move up to the 750 LG has done an impressive job with there sets I love my 550 and will stick with LG for the foreseeable future as should you They are truly beautiful sets

LG 37LC7D 37 inch 720p LCD HDTV >> TV IS BAD LG WILL NOT RESPOND TO PROBLEM This TV was a gift for us in May of 2007 purchased from Magnolia Home Theater and the extended warranty was not purchased The first problem it had required a factory modification 3 months after we received it It stopped responding to the remote and the menus on the TV were impossible to use via the side buttons The second problem showed up in early 2009 well beyond the 1 year warranty It turned itself off unexpectedly Repeatedly The repair service was called and we spent almost 500 00 on repairs The power supply was replaced in April 2009 In June 2009 it turned itself off again unexpectedly Of course the repair service would not back up their work And LG refused to do anything I am very disappointed in a company that will not replace a unit that is clearly defective in some way warranty or not That s bad business and bad customer relations I will not purchase an LG product again Purchasing an extended warranty on a new product is ludicrous has always been ludicrous It only adds to the up front cost and is merely a way for the seller to add to their profit betting that MOST of the units they sell will not have problems I believe it is a deceptive practice Did I have a choice and could I have purchased an extended warranty Yes from the seller but not from LG It seems that s the way companies do business these days just get it out the door don t worry about customer satisfaction when something goes wrong especially if it s only a low percentage of customers the majority of people will never know that our products are duds and we won t do anything to fix them >> Great TV I am not an expert in electronics so I will keep this short and sweet This tv was just the right size for my needs has an excellent picture as far as my eyes are concerned and the price was right I am pleased with the purchase >> Excellent TV We ordered the TV via Amazon and even though shipping would have been free I paid a little extra to have it delivered in 3 days because I feared the longer it stayed in the shipping process the better the chances of it being damaged
Anyway we are very happy with the TV The distance from which you watch it is important The best picture is from a distance of about 15 away Any closer and the picture isn t as great But it s hard to go back to regular TV once you ve watched it in HD I m hopelessly spoiled
The set up was EASY I read reviews about how difficult it was to set it up and that s bogus It was very easy Given I am electronically inclined but I think my husband could have set it up easily and he s a doof Haha
The sound is great too especially for built in speakers
I was scared to buy something this pricey online because if something goes wrong you re kind of screwed But the entire process from purchase to delivery was perfect I do recommend reading up on sellers though before you decide to go for it Read other customer reviews on the seller I changed my mind on a seller last minute and paid a little more for the TV just because I had a bad feeling

Positive 1 Customer support is really friendly although unless you get the highest level reps who only the TV repair guy can call they re pretty much incompetent Every question I asked they had to put me on hold so they could ask a manager or Google it

3 Bang for buck it s probably the lowest priced networked TV out there with Netflix BUT if you re looking to connect to other devices be prepared for some frustration or lack of success
4 The 120Hz does help I noticed significant difference from my 60Hz Sony Much easier on the eyes but LG isn t the only company that makes 120Hz tv s

1 NOT DLNA Certfied you know that standard that everything home connected is using LG decided to skip out and no plans to add Means that in the future as more devices come on board you likely won t be able to connect to them Have fun being tied to your PC and run everything through that
2 Very difficult to get connected to your PC spent 14 hours on the phone with tech support before we could even get it to connect to the PC It would not connect to my Seagate BlackArmor NAS nor my WD My World Edition NAS LG engineer said it was the drive s fault NOT true I returned this thing and bought a Samsung LN46B650 and connected fine My WD TV player also worked fine with both
3 The remote is REALLY uncomfortable and awkward Really lacking in features Number buttons are too far away from each other
4 You get a LOT of pixelation If you just came from analog this will knock your socks off BUT you have no idea what you re missing
In the end after all that time with the rep they just said I should return the unit It was really painful because I got a REALLY good deal on this 25 off the Amazon price through some Fry s deal Believe me I really wanted this thing to work But in the end I sent it back spent about 200 300 more on the Samsung LN46B650 and I have no regrets whatsoever The picture is just so much more sharp The sound is amazing remote has a lot of nice features you get PIP Netflix Yahoo Widgets Addt l Downloadable content and DLNA I was able to connect to my NAS drives no problem still working on getting it to stream mkv but other formats work fine

So HD Digital cable is unbelievably sharp Especially sports Especially the Nuggets
There is something to be said about movies or tv shows recorded before HD like Senfield or a movie like Transformenrs There is this thing about it at first you can t get away from and its tough to explain Its the 120Hz True motion tecnology that basicly up converts dvd quality picture to try to get closer to HD quality by rounding filling in artificially rendering more frames hence 120hz opposed to telivisions 60hz The manufacturer sets this on high so it is quite noticable at first After changing the setting in Advanced Controls It actually has a nice impact and as long as I can change between Low high off I m Happy
The wireless runs smooth as silk but you need direct non obstruction between box and front base of tv The box is good Nice amount of imputs of all kinds compoters old vcrs whatever currently mine is at a distance of 4 ft but will be moving to 20ft
I mounted it on the wall with an ultra thin 1 wall mount I had a small problem because the cord coming out the back was like 1 4 inches and i had to balance the otherside with something But it is secure and looks great
The tv is an Energystar tv so it has like 5 different power levels you can run It also has this light sensor that can sense the ambient light in the room and ajust the brightness of the screen So when its bright in the room the tv automatically adjusts brighter and same whae it is dark it dims to fit the suropundings
The stand is nice
The apperance of the tv itself is really beautiful As you know it has a translicent outer boarder Its kinda mocha y chocolate hue The liquid drop is sweet it is off when the tv is off it is red and moving when you turn it on and a light white when tv is on You can turn it off
Price I found this at 1289 with shipping 1/5/10 I would not pay more I was enitially looking for a 700 tv but didnt have the level of quality and dont for get the wireless
So I got just the powercord sticking out from the tv making it more flexable in room design
Thats about all I think needs ranting about enjoy >> Just what I needed This was set up with minimal problems I am using an outdoor antenna rotating and have connected the set to two DVD players a Sony blue ray and a Toshiba that plays DVDs from all countries The LG is a bit selective with regard to input and since I have two TVs and needed to send the signals to either I found that only the Octava switch boxes were capable of doing this The LG input did not get along well with other HDMI switch boxes Aside from that problem which few others will have this set worked perfectly and its could get a good signal even from an indoor antenna The only potential problem is that there appears to be a short lag between the audio and video if one uses a separate amplifier and speakers from the DVD There is an optical audio output on the transmission box that may prevent this but I have not tested it >> Don t buy the LG 47LH85 if you plan to use a media cabinet I bought this TV specifically for the wireless feature I bought a new high end media cabinet to hold all the hardware receiver cable box Wii TV transmitter etc only to find out that the transmitter does not work well when placed inside the cabinet The picture flickers consistently and the signal is very low Don t buy this TV if you want a clean environment

Pros It s huge for the price In this price range you are lucky to get a 50 52 120Hz LCD The menus are large and easy to use After changing the video settings the colors are beautiful and the black is deep HDMI self detection is cool kind of like windows USB I m using a DirecTV HD DVR and the channels are very nice even at 1080i Blu ray movies are phenomenal PS3 games are intense If you are a sports fan then you want to buy the highest Hz set you can for faster refresh rate and this set is great at 600Hz
Cons The main reason for only 4 stars is the glare on this TV because of the glossy screen it reflects even the lowest light It s heavy at 117 lbs The sound sucks but doesn t matter if you re using a surround system like most people do It could use another HDMI input but once again if you are using a home theater system with HDMI then you can pass through it instead and only need one input on the TV

Two minor complaints driving my overall 4 star rating
A Factory Documentation The documentation provided by LG on this set is pretty weak in regards to software options and television functionality Internet research quickly answered some of my questions Television installation set up and pivot base construction instructions were sufficient
B Closed caption support Closed Captioning is NOT supported with HDMI DVI or Composite inputs and must be driven by the set top box Wish I knew this earlier but would NOT of changed my purchasing decision
Overall I am quite pleased with this purchase and would HIGHLY recommend it for you

TV does a good job Audio is okay but I d like to see a headphone jack so you could easily connect a computer speaker system to it That way you could significantly improve the audio without sinking a lot of money and time into installing a home theater system
Picture looks great with Dish Network s HD broadcast Also does well with upscaled DVD movies

A fatal error many frugal yet selective television consumers make is buying a cheaper entry level HDTV like this and expecting it to somehow perform like a 3500 plasma unit It s just not going to happen However considering the gorgeous picture on this model and the relatively low price tag it s difficult to justify paying more for a better LCD or a potentially problematic plasma For instance I considered some of the new LED LCD models many of which offer a refresh rate of 240 But I simply couldn t make a discernable distinction when compared to this model which has a rate of 120 and the image simply wasn t impressive enough to warrant the massive price tag
The Blu Rays I ve tested which included Quantum of Solace Mongol The Rise of Genghis Khan The Phantom and Glory all looked in a word incredible The sheen of clarity on each print was jaw dropping though Glory has a good deal of grain still present DVDs look great as well just not as sharp as Blu Rays My wife and I spent an entire Saturday going through the extended edition DVDs of the Lord of the Rings trilogy on this model and I simply have no complaints to report The screen is large enough to provide a cinematic effect especially in a bedroom the movement onscreen was fluid and the colors leaped off the screen Even a series like Battlestar Galactica where the picture was intentionally degraded to give it a grittier feel looks gorgeous on plain jane DVD
The TruMotion feature isn t the failed experiment so many reviewers claim it to be Under the correct circumstances such as a high definition NFL game the effect works wonderfully Films however aren t quite built for this sort of thing The TruMotion feature effectively removes the atmospheric sheen on the film print to the extent that it causes certain scenes to look amateurish as if shot on home video It s difficult to explain without example but if you visit a floor model at a local store many retailers will let customers toggle with the settings
Also regarding the infamous lip synch issue I ve watched hours of cable in addition to multiple DVD and Blu Rays and I haven t had a single problem My model was manufactured in February 2010 so it s possible they ve updated the firmware on the latest models In fact I really can t find any serious faults with this model it s as if this unit was made specifically for my needs Perhaps the greatest compliment I can pay to this model is to say that I don t feel as if I bought an entry level television For now it s five well earned stars I ll update later if any issues arise
